Heswall Photographic Society was founded in 1963 but it took until 1970 to become fully established with a full programme throughout the year.
Meetings are now held at St Peter's Centre, Lower Heswall, most Friday Evenings from September to May, with a few Summer meetings usually of a practical nature. During the season, talks and presentations by members or external speakers are arranged together with regular internal competitions of members' work, in the format of Colour and Monochrome prints and Projected Digital images. The society also promotes the development of audio-visual (AV) presentations.
We are one of the largest photographic societies on the Wirral catering for those just starting photography as well as experienced photographers. Photographic advice is freely given. We have a superb 50+ seat meeting room, modern HD projection and a state of the art Bose sound system. Refreshments are included at each meeting.
