Sadly, our friend and former member, Chris died on Tuesday, 29th December 2009, after a long battle with illness. Chris was diagnosed with Lymphoma in December 2007 and went into Royal Liverpool hospital in August 2009 for a Stem Cell Transplant which he was hopeful would "rid" him of the cancer. Due to the Lymphoma, Chris had to step down as a member in 2008. He said his thanks to all HPS Members who had wished him well - "I throughly enjoyed my time as a member of HPS and, in particular, made some strong friendships within the club, I wish all members well in the future"

Chris joined HPS in 2004 and was an active committee member. He achieved his LRPS in 2006 and was working towards his ARPS. As he was a PGA professional golfer, he naturally developed a keen interest in golf photography. A through and through Canon man he built up a "collection" of L series lenses which he used alongside his Canon 1D MkIII body. During 2006, he made the step from PC to Mac and purchased a 24" iMac to work on his images, build his business website and his own photographic site.

Chris designed his own photographic website which holds his Golf Image Library to look at this log onto www.chris-gill.co.uk
